Chifco is a Tunisian startup specialized in the Internet of Things (IoT) and Machine to Machine (M2M). Based in Tunis, Sousse and Paris, Chifco was established in 2011 by Amine Chouaieb. Amine Chouaieb
Amine Chouaieb is a Tunisian award-winning entrepreneur and internationally recognized innovator who is the founder and CEO of Chifco. Before launching Chifco in 2011, Amine was a consultant at two major French consulting groups, namely Eurogroup and SINTEO. Amine serves on the board of different NGOs, notably the Global Shapers of the World Economic Forum, Center for Young Managers (CJD) and GUSF.
Rim Zouabi Bolger
Chief Marketing Officer at Chifco, Rim worked in marketing, communication, public relations, and as a professional coach in the private sector as well as for non-profit organizations. Rim has written numerous articles on technology and entrepreneurship that have been published on various blogs, including Chifco’s.
Mehdi Karoui
Graduate of EM Lyon Business School and the Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Mehdi began his career in Strategy Consulting in France, Middle East, China and Tunisia (Capgemini Consulting, Numu Consulting). Since 2014, Mehdi is in charge of strategy, development and operations at Chifco.
Imen Gafsi Bougobba
Computer engineer, graduated from the Faculty of Science and Mathematics of Tunis (FST) in 2009, Imen has always had a passion for new technologies. She began her career as a computer engineer in TELNET then Proxym-it before joining Chifco in 2013 as a Technical Team Leader.

“Internet of Things” to check energy usage
Connecting appliances to the Internet can make them more energy-efficient. Lights can automatically adapt to sunlight; appliances can switch themselves off when the building is empty; ACs can self-regulate according to outside temperature or how many people are in the room. Tunisian technology company Chifco developed a Home Automation product, Smart Life, which “helps users discover which of their equipment consumes more energy, follow up on their consumption daily, and read their atmosphere to give them better ways of using electricity” explains Reem Bolger, Chifco’s Chief Marketing Officer.
